Leo is eight. He loves Grandma's soup. "Grandma, what is the secret?" he asks. "It is in the blue jar," she says. "The jar is on the top shelf."
Leo gets a chair. He opens the jar. It is empty! There is a small note. It says: "Time."
Grandma cooks slowly. She sings. She asks about school. The soup cooks for three hours. Leo tastes it. "It tastes like the afternoon!" he says. Grandma smiles.
