Eight-year-old Leo loved his grandmother's soup. One day he asked, "Grandma Rosa, what is the secret ingredient?"
"It's in the blue jar on the top shelf," she said.
Leo climbed on a chair and opened the jar. It was empty, but there was a small piece of paper inside. It said only one word: "Time."
Leo did not understand, so he watched his grandmother. She peeled the vegetables slowly and stirred the pot. She sang quietly, asked him about school and told him about her day. The soup cooked for three hours. At last Leo tasted it. "It tastes like the whole afternoon," he said. Grandma winked.
