Amina is a botanist. Her village, Tamba, nearly lost its old seeds in a drought. Now she carries a small box of seeds: beans, millet and a small pepper. She goes by boat, bus and plane to a frozen mountain in the Arctic. A guard in a thick coat takes the box. Amina walks in a cold tunnel with shelves of silver boxes. She feels small and hopeful. On the plane home she thinks: "If something happens, the beans of Tamba will grow again."
