Kiri is a young Arctic tern. She is born in June on an island in the far north. There the sun never sets in summer. In August Kiri flies south with her parents. A storm comes, and she is alone. She dives for fish. She follows the sun and the stars.
After many months she reaches the far south. It is summer there too! Then she flies north again. Three summers after her birth, she lands on her island and lays an egg.
