The Conductor Who Could Not Hear

A small town has a choir of nine singers. They sing badly. The old conductor leaves. A new conductor comes, Ms. Ferro. She writes on the board: "I am deaf. You have to watch me." The singers take off their shoes. They feel the music in the floor. They watch her hands. Three weeks later, four hundred people come to the concert. The singers start together. At the end, everybody claps. Ms. Ferro sees many hands in the air.
