At school, Aiko and Mateo took each other's lunchboxes by mistake. Aiko opened hers and saw empanadas and a note in Spanish. Mateo opened his and found rice balls with a pickled plum inside. At first they were both shocked. Then they were curious, so they each took a small bite. It was delicious!
They met at the bench to swap back, but they had a better idea. "Let's swap on purpose every Friday," said Aiko. Soon the whole class joined in. They called it "Friday Feast," and every child brought a dish from home. One day the teacher tasted dumplings made by a classmate's grandmother, and she almost cried.
